The Werra Valley Cycle Path runs along the Werra and connects Thuringia , Hesse and Lower Saxony over a length of 290 km .

The Werra Valley cycle path has been passable since 1997 and is signposted with a uniform symbol. It leads from the two Werra springs in Fehrenbach and Siegmundsburg from around 780  m above sea level. NHN via the cities of Eisfeld , Hildburghausen , Themar , Meiningen , Wasungen , Bad Salzungen , Vacha , Heringen , Gerstungen , Creuzburg , Treffurt , Eschwege , Bad Sooden-Allendorf and Witzenhausen to Hann. Münden , at an altitude of 123  m above sea level. NHN lies. In Hesse, the cycle path is called the Werra cycle path. In Häselrieth , a district of Hildburghausen, there is a cycle path church, St. Wigbert .
