Main-Werra cycle path
The Main-Werra cycle path connects the Main in Lower Franconia and the Werra in southern Thuringia as well as the cities of Würzburg and Meiningen .
Over a length of 140 kilometers the long-distance cycle path leads from Würzburg via Schweinfurt , Bad Neustadt , Mellrichstadt and Ritschenhausen to Meiningen. The cycle path is marked with orange-colored square signs with the “MW” logo. In Mühlfeld near Mellrichstadt you can shorten the route via the Meiningen-Haßfurt cycle path, which is marked MH via Sülzfeld to Meiningen. As far as possible, it follows the valleys of Werntal, Maintal, Lauertal , Streutal and Werra valley and you drive on a level route. When the path leaves the valleys, easy and medium gradients have to be overcome. The route has a medium difficulty level.

Connections with other national cycle routes
- In Würzburg, the Main-Werra-Radweg meets the Main-Radweg , which leads from Creußen along the Main to the Rhine near Mainz .
- The route crosses the Werntal cycle path near Schweinfurt , which leads from the Wern source to Gemünden am Main .
- In Mellrichstadt there is a connection with the Meiningen-Haßfurt cycle path .
- From Untermaßfeld the Main-Werra-Radweg runs together with the Werra Valley-Radweg to Meiningen.
