The spring is also called Storchenbrünnle , due to the stork depicted on the stone at the spring. Legend has it that this place is supposed to help young couples to have children. The poet and orientalist Friedrich Rückert dedicated the poem "Das Lauerbrünnlein" to the Storchenbrünnle in his collection of poems "Memories from the childhood of a village administrator's son".
