The Dresdner Volksbank Raiffeisenbank eG was a German cooperative bank based in Dresden ( Saxony ).
history
The forerunner of the bank was the first gardener cooperative bank in Saxony, founded in Dresden-Stetzsch in August 1905. In 1910 i. d. R. as the founding date of the Dresdner Volksbank. In 1945 all banks were initially closed on the orders of the Soviet Military Administration in Germany (SMAD). The resumption of business activities of cooperative banks was permitted again from 1946.
From 1990 the cooperative fund operates again as Volksbank Dresden eG . Later it was called Dresdner Volksbank Raiffeisenbank eG .
On August 4, 2017, Dresdner Volksbank Raiffeisenbank eG merged with Volksbank Bautzen eG to form Volksbank Dresden-Bautzen eG .

The legal basis of the bank was its articles of association and the cooperative law . The organs of the cooperative bank were the management board , the supervisory board and the representative assembly . The bank was affiliated with the protection scheme of the Federal Association of German Volksbanks and Raiffeisenbanks eV, which consists of the guarantee fund and the guarantee association.
