Rahim Taghizadegan

Rahim Taghizadegan (* 1979 ) is an Austrian economist and publicist with Persian roots. He is the representative of the Austrian School in Economics . Taghizadegan heads the private educational institution Scholarium in Vienna .

Life

The son of an Iranian and a Viennese woman studied physics , economics and sociology in Vienna and Lausanne. During his study trips to the USA, he attended seminars with Vernon L. Smith and Israel M. Kirzner . He held teaching positions at the University of Liechtenstein , the Vienna University of Economics and Business and the Martin Luther University Halle-Wittenberg . He is currently a research assistant at the International Academy for Philosophy in Liechtenstein and teaches at the IMC University of Applied Sciences Krems .

Taghizadegan was a student of Hayek -Schülers Roland Baader , who bequeathed him Hayek's extensive library to the Austrian School. This Roland Baader library is now open to the public in the Scholarium. In 2015, Taghizadegan accepted the Hayek Medal for Roland Baader. and was honored with the Roland Baader Award in 2017. Taghizadegan also sees himself as a student of Hans-Hermann Hoppe and has held one of the main lectures at Hoppe's annual Property and Freedom Society since the beginning.

Taghizadegan worked as a "Research Fellow" of the Atlas Network in the USA and in space research at the European Space Control Center , the US Naval Observatory and the Astronomical Institute . He gave free economics lessons in South African slums.

Taghizadegan wrote articles for Santiago Times , peculiarly free , Wiener Zeitung and Der Standard, among others . He is a regular columnist on finance and economics and a regular author in Wirtschaftswoche .
