Eugen-Maria Schulak

Eugen-Maria Schulak (born January 31, 1963 in Vienna ) is an Austrian philosopher , musician and publicist .

Life

Schulak originally studied biology at the University of Vienna and music and classical guitar at the University of Music . From 1982 to 1995 he worked as a musician, built the recording studio "Jackson & Schulak" and produced radio and television commercials. Schulak studied philosophy , psychology , pedagogy and history at the University of Vienna from 1984 to 1992 and completed his studies with a Magister philosophiae (Mag. Phil.) (Diploma thesis: The thought of development. Nietzsche's concept of culture ). In 1997 he started with Konrad Paul Liessmann with the dissertation Daimon. Schulak wrote articles for Die Presse , the Wiener Zeitung , the Furche and also peculiarly free . Since 1998 he has been running a philosophy practice in Vienna. Schulak is a co-founder and member of the Society for Applied Philosophy (GAP) and co-founder of the Siemens Academy of Life, worked as a lecturer at the Philosophical Institute of the University of Vienna (until 2013), at the University of Applied Sciences Wiener Neustadt (until 2016) and led it together with Rahim Taghizadegan the Scholarium, a private educational institution in Vienna (until the end of 2015). Together with Barbara Fallmann, he founded the musical duo The Frozen Heart in 2013 and subsequently gives concerts on a regular basis . The first album Songs To Soothe Your Soul (double vinyl + CD) was released at the end of 2016.
