Christoph Ulrich von Pappenheim (born April 15, 1546 , † December 11, 1599 ) was Reichshermarschall and the last representative of the Pappenheim-Graefenthal line.

Life

Christoph Ulrich von Pappenheim was the son of Achatius II († 1561) and Elisabeth II. Von Brandenstein († 1583). With him the line Pappenheim-Graefenthal, which originated with Conrad III. von Pappenheim had. He had a considerable fortune throughout his life. He was enfeoffed with Graefenthal in 1575 by Elector August von Sachsen , which was awarded to him again in 1586 by Duke Friedrich Wilhelm. In addition to Graefenthal, he also owned Pappenheim. In 1590 he married Magdalena von Pappenheim, the daughter of Marshal Christoph the Elder of Pappenheim (Alesheim line) and widow Marshal Wolfgang II von Pappenheim (Stühlinger line). The marriage did not result in any children, so the rule of Graefenthal and Pappenheim passed for a short time to the marshals of the Stühlinger line Alexander , Conrad and Philipp . In 1621 Maximilian von Pappenheim sold the rule of Graefenthal to Johann Philipp zu Sachsen-Altenburg .
