Drill Team is an American alternative post-grunge band from Los Angeles , California. The band was founded in the mid-1990s and consisted of the original line-up of the musicians Michael Long (guitar, vocals), Jeff Watson (bass), Chris Etzler (guitar) and Apollo Strange (drums).

history

After a few minor line-up changes in between, the band signed a contract with Reprise Records and released their debut single Pluto My Cream in 1996 . Her first full-length album, Hope and Dream Explosion , followed in 1998 , which was recorded with producers Clive Langer , Alan Winstanley and David Kahne.

Concerts and live performances by the band Drill Team took place in 1998 in Texas , Boston , Chicago and Los Angeles, among others .

Friends Jeff Watson and Michael Long, who both grew up in San José , founded the New Wave group Color Scream together in 1988 . Compared to the then band Color Scream, Drill Team's music sounds much more rocky and harder. They oriented themselves with the 1998 album musically rather to groups such as the Foo Fighters or King's X .
