Dryudella is a genus of digger wasps (Spheciformes) from the Crabronidae family. 42 species are known worldwide, most of whichoccurin the Palearctic , nine species colonize the Nearctic , one, Dryudella pinguis , lives in the Holarctic . 13 are also in Europe.

features

The genus can be distinguished from the similar Astata by the very finely structured Propodeum . A very fine wing vein also divides the submarginal cell I in the forewing. In contrast to the similar genus, the forehead of the males is not black, but has a large, yellowish spot in front of the anterior point eye ( ocellus ). The shiny pygidial field of the females is only bordered by a few, uncurled eyelashes.

Way of life

The brood is supplied with bedbugs from different families, most often with stink bugs (Pentatomidae).
