Dušan Moravčík

Dušan Moravčík (born May 27, 1948 in Bánov , Slovakia ) is a former Czech obstacle runner who started for Czechoslovakia .

At the European Athletics Championships in Helsinki in 1971 Moravčík won silver. In 1972 he was fifth at the Olympic Games in Munich and in 1974 tenth at the European Championships in Rome . At the Olympic Games in Montreal in 1976 and the 1978 European Championship in Prague, he was eliminated in the preliminary stages. In 1980 he came in tenth place at the Olympic Games in Moscow .

He was Czechoslovakian champion three times (1971, 1976, 1980). On September 17, 1972, he set the current Czech record in Prague with 8: 23.8 minutes.
