Dubowi Macharynzi ( Ukrainian Дубові Махаринці ; Russian Дубовые Махаринцы Dubowije Macharinzy , Polish Macharynce Dubowe ) is a village in western Ukraine with about 600 inhabitants.
The village is located in the Vinnytsia Oblast , near the city of Kosjatyn and is traversed by the Rostawyzja brook ( Роставиця ). The neighboring village of Blaschijiwka ( Блажіївка ) also belongs to the district council of Dubowi Macharynzi .
Dubowi Macharynzi is the birthplace of the alleged concentration camp warden John Demjanjuk , who is said to have participated in the murder of at least 29,000 people in the Sobibor extermination camp .
