The Dubtsches ( Russian Дубчес ; in the upper reaches also Bolshoi Dubtsches, "Great Dubtsches") is a 433 km long left tributary of the Yenisei in the Krasnoyarsk region in Russia .
The Dubtsches arises in a swamp area in the hilly eastern part of the West Siberian lowlands , which it flows through in a strongly meandering manner in a predominantly south-easterly direction. It flows just below the village Sotino , near which the climate research station Zotino Tall Tower Observation Facility located some 300 km north-northwest of the city Yeniseisk in the Yenisei.
The catchment area of the river covers 15,300 km². The most important tributaries are the Kamenny Dubtsches ("Steiniger Dubtsches", also Teultsches; length 268 km) from the left and the Bolshoi Togultsches ("Großer Togultsches"; 190 km), Sandaktsches (112 km) and Totsches (162 km) from the right.
The discharge in the middle course of the river, 157 km above the mouth, is an annual mean of 89.94 m³ / s, with a maximum monthly mean of 369 m³ / s in May and a minimum monthly mean of 20.74 m³ / s in March.
The Dubtsches flows along its entire length through the very sparsely populated southwest of the Turuchanski Rajon . The only village on the river is the village of Sandaktsches , which is predominantly inhabited by Old Orthodox, at the confluence of the tributary of the same name.
