Dunajez ( Ukrainian Дунаєць ; Russian Дунаец ) is a village in the Ukrainian Sumy Oblast with about 1200 inhabitants (2001).
The well-known since the 17th century village is the administrative center of the eponymous district municipality in the southwest of Rajon Hlukhiv to which even the villages Schtschebry ( Щебри , ⊙ ) with about 150 inhabitants and Sutysky ( Сутиски , ⊙ include) with about 70 inhabitants.
The village is located 2.5 km from the left bank of the Esman ( Есмань ), a 50 km long right tributary of the 113 km long Klewen ( Клевень ). The district center of Hluchiw is located 17 km northeast and the Oblast center Sumy 140 km southeast of Dunajez.
