Duo Petrof
The Duo Petrof is a piano duo consisting of the Ukrainian pianist Anatoly Zatin (born March 23, 1954 in Uzhhorod ) and the Russian pianist Vlada Vassilieva (born July 10, 1985 in Moscow ).
Life
Anatoly Zatin studied piano, composition and conducting at the St. Petersburg Conservatory and is a member of the St. Petersburg Union of Composers. He later became professor and dean of the Fine Arts Institute at the Universidad de Colima in Mexico .
Vlada Vassilieva studied with Anatoly Zatin at the Universidad de Colima and later, as a Fulbright scholar, with Pavlina Dokovska at Mannes College of Music in New York City . She currently teaches at the Universidad de Colima. Both pianists live in Mexico.
The duo was founded in 2003 in collaboration between the Universidad de Colima and the Czech company Petrof . Since 2008 both pianists have been Petrof Artists, representing the company's pianos worldwide.
