Dustin Nguyen
Dustin Nguyen (born September 17, 1962 in Saigon ) is an American actor of Vietnamese origin.
Life
Dustin Nguyen's maiden name is Nguyễn Xuân Trí . His mother My Le was a dancer and actress, and his father Xuan Phat was an actor, writer and producer in South Vietnam . His family left Vietnam in April 1975.
After Dustin Nguyen and his family fled South Vietnam , they built a new life in the United States of America. During his high school years, Dustin Nguyen became passionate about martial arts. He later moved to California , where he also took up acting for the first time.
Dustin Nguyen had been married to his longtime girlfriend, former model Angela Rockwood, since 2001. His ex-wife has been paraplegic since a serious car accident. The couple separated in 2011. Dustin Nguyen and his then-wife are deeply involved in the Christopher Reeve Paralysis Foundation. This foundation was established by the late actor Christopher Reeve and his wife in 1982.

He made his actor debut in an episode of Magnum as a Cambodian freedom fighter. In the series 21 Jump Street - Tatort Klassenzimmer he played the role of officer Harry Truman Ioki from 1987 to 1990 and from 1998 to 2002 in VIP - The Bodyguards , an American television series with Pamela Anderson .
In 1994 he was seen in the comedy film 3 Ninjas - Kick Back . Since the mid-2000s he has increasingly appeared in Vietnamese productions.
