Duttendorf is a village in the Austrian municipality of Hochburg-Ach , which has 742 inhabitants ( as of 2001 ).

The place name is likely to be derived from the personal name "Tuoto". Around 1313 "Dotendorf", 1508 "Tuetendorf", 1514 "Tutendorf". In 1941 the municipality of Hochburg-Ach acquired the Athalergut in Duttendorf. After the Second World War , the community provided around 200,000 m² of inexpensive building land on the estate. Many refugees from Yugoslavia , Danube Swabians but also community citizens took advantage of this cheap offer and were able to create their own home. From 1950 onwards, construction activities were concentrated in the “Athalerasiedlung”. This largely prevented urban sprawl.

The opportunity to work in neighboring Burghausen ( Wacker Chemie , OMV ...) has also attracted settlers from the area. A community center with more than 200 apartments was created. In the settlement area there is the municipal office, the police, the post office, 2 doctors, the secondary school, the kindergarten, a bank, a Catholic parish home, the Protestant Chapel of Mercy, as well as shops for local supplies and the Friends of Nature House. The municipal building yard and the waste material center were housed in the buildings of the estate and on the adjacent areas. A soccer field, a fistball field and a sports center were built for sporting activities. In 2007 the building for supervised living with 15 residential units will be completed.
