Dwayne Evans (athlete)
Dwayne Evans ( Dwayne Eugene Evans ; born October 13, 1958 in Phoenix , Arizona ) is a former American sprinter who had his greatest successes in the 200-meter run .
In 1976 he qualified in the US elimination bout as second for the Olympic Games in Montreal , where he won the bronze medal in 20.43 s behind the Jamaican Donald Quarrie (20.23 s) and his compatriot Millard Hampton (20.29 s) .
In 1979 he became US champion, starting in 1981 for Arizona State University NCAA champion. In 1986 he was US runner-up and runner-up at the Goodwill Games .
