Millard Hampton ( Millard Frank Hampton Jr .; born July 8, 1956 in Fresno ) is a former American sprinter and Olympic champion .

In 1976 he won the US championship over 200 meters

At the 1976 Olympic Games in Montreal, he won the silver medal over the same distance in 20.29 s behind the Jamaican Donald Quarrie (20.23 s) and in front of his compatriot Dwayne Evans (20.43 s). In the 4 x 100 meter relay , he won together with his teammates Harvey Glance , Johnny Jones and Steve Riddick in front of the teams from the GDR and the Soviet Union .

In 1980 he became US runner-up over 200 meters.
