Gerry Ashworth

Gerry Ashworth ( Gerald Howard Ashworth ; born May 1, 1942 in Haverhill , Massachusetts ) is a former American sprinter and Olympic champion .

In 1964 he set a world record in the 100-meter run with 10.1 s .

At the Summer Olympics in 1964 he was the second runner of the US team in the 4 x 100 meter relay , which won in the cast Paul Drayton , Ashworth, Richard Stebbins and Bob Hayes in the world record time of 39.0 s.
