Emmett Toppino
Martin Emmett Toppino (born July 1, 1909 in New Orleans , Louisiana , † September 8, 1971 ibid) was an American athlete and Olympic champion .
Toppino won the 60 yards at the US Indoor Athletics Championships in 1932 with a time of 6.2 s. At the X. Olympic Games in Los Angeles in 1932 , he won the 4 x 100 meter relay race , which together with Bob Kiesel , Hector Dyer and Frank Wykoff won the gold medal with a new world record time of 40.0 seconds ahead of the teams from Germany (Silver) and Italy (bronze).
