action

The deceased testator Dyckerpott has given his greedy and unloved relatives a bitter will: Only the terrible family dog Strupp should inherit until he too blesses the temporal. Up to this point in time, the family members are condemned to all live under one roof, including the universal dog heir who turns out to be an absolute despot. Only then should the inheritance be reorganized in accordance with a supplementary will. This will be difficult enough because the relatives hate each other just as much as everyone hates the hereditary dog.

The family members plan to have the now wealthy and tyrannical mutt follow his master to the grave as quickly as possible. Outwardly, however, one is extremely mendaciously friendly towards the yapler. A first poison attack fails. To the bitter misfortune, of all people, Ilse, the “dear” animal who had the least eye on the inheritance, killed the relative. Strupp had committed the stupidity of biting Ilse beforehand. In the spirit of a codicil , it is now decided that those relatives may inherit who will not be tyrannized by the dog diva and will turn their necks, because the old Dyckerpott was bullied by Strupp all his life.

reception

Paimann's film lists summed up: “The subject, in its basic idea tasteless and uncomfortable, speculates in the details on the malice of many people dormant in the subconscious [sic!]. The direction, in the leadership of the ensemble, which was mainly composed of types, or better said caricatures [sic!], Could not avoid significant lengths. "
