Remarks
- ↑ In this article the life and filmography of the silent film star Fred Solm and the Austrian actor Alfred Solm were mixed together. Fred Solm, who called himself Fritz Solm privately, was born as Friedrich Richard Solm on January 22nd, 1899 in Frankfurt am Main. A source of his life is, for example, a "wanted poster" written by him in Mein Film, No. 124, p. 6. In Hollywood, where he took the name Robert Castle (see Mein Film, No. 198, p. 17, right column above), his (silent film) career came to an end after only two films, as sound films prevailed.
