Eßmühle is a hamlet in the Unteregg municipality, which is part of the Unterallgäu district . The place is located 500 meters northwest of Unteregg at an altitude of 700 meters above sea level . Eßmühle consists of eight houses and has a total of about 20 residents. In 1471 parts of the Eßmühle estate came to the Irsee monastery , from which they were exchanged for the Stein rule in the same year. In 1838 33 residents are listed, including a miller, an oil company, a farmer, a mercenary and a carpenter. By Eßmühle flowing Eßmühler Bach , of the place in which, in this area one kilometer north Katzbruierbach called Westernach flows.
