E. Christian Kopff
E. Christian Kopff (born November 22, 1946 in Brooklyn , New York ) is an American classical philologist .
Life
E. Christian Kopff studied at Haverford College ( BA 1968) and at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill ( Ph.D. 1974). Since 1973 he has taught as an assistant professor at the University of Colorado at Boulder , where he was promoted to associate professor . He was also Associate Director of the Honors Program (from 1990) and Director of the University's Center for Western Civilization .
Kopff spent several years doing research in Italy. He is a Fellow of the American Academy in Rome and built on the collaboration of the ancient science university institutes in Boulder and Urbino .
