EURES TransTirolia

EURES TransTirolia is an initiative of the European Union to promote cross-border employment in the regions of North / East, South Tyrol and Graubünden .

aims

  • Information about job offers and job applications in the border region.
  • To inform and advise employees and employers about working and living conditions in the neighboring country (social, labor, pension and collective bargaining law), to contribute to the creation of a homogeneous labor market and to promoting employment in the border area with joint projects.
  • To support employers who want to employ employees from the neighboring country and to offer labor market-related assistance with activities in the neighboring country.

Target groups of the initiative

  • Employees and jobseekers who want to work in the neighboring country.
  • Those who are already working there.
  • Employers who want to employ workers from the neighboring country.

The region

The region, consisting of North / East, South Tyrol and Graubünden, has a potential of almost 550,000 employees in this area. Apart from the approx. 1,700 cross-border commuters, around 4,000 young people in this area are pursuing training in the neighboring country, a high number compared to other EURES border regions. The framework agreements for cross-border cooperation between the employment services and employers' organizations in Tyrol and South Tyrol were signed in 1997, renewed in May 2000 and extended to other organizations. In November 2002, Graubünden joined EURES TransTirolia with the Office for Industry, Commerce and Labor (KIGA).

Participating in EURES TransTirolia are: the federal state of Tyrol with the districts of Landeck , Imst , Innsbruck (city and country), Schwaz and Lienz , which border directly on Italy , the autonomous province of Bozen- Südtirol and the canton of Graubünden.
