East Redonda Island is an island between the mainland of the Canadian province of British Columbia and Vancouver Island . It belongs to the Strathcona Regional District .
It belongs to the Discovery Islands and is located at the end of Toba Inlet .

With Mount Addenbroke, a 1591 m high mountain determines the island's ecosystem. To protect this special ecosystem, the 6,182 hectare East Redonda Island Ecological Reserve was established in the east of the island in 1971 .
history
The island was discovered in 1792 during the expedition of Dionisio Alcalá Galiano and Cayetano Valdés y Flores and called Isla Redonda , which translated means round island .
