Eberhard Busch

Eberhard Busch (born August 22, 1937 in Witten / Ruhr area ) is a German-Swiss Protestant theologian , was assistant to Karl Barth , Protestant Reformed pastor in Uerkheim in Aargau and professor of systematic theology in Göttingen .

Life

Eberhard Busch is the son of the pastor and evangelist Johannes Busch . He studied Protestant theology in Wuppertal , Göttingen , Heidelberg , Münster and Basel . After studying theology, he was personal assistant to Karl Barth in Basel from 1965 to 1968, and Busch is closely connected to his person and work. He passed the propaedeutic, theological and practical exam in 1970 at the University of Basel. In 1977, with Karl Barth's curriculum vitae , his biography of Barth, he became a Dr. theol. PhD.

From 1969 to 1986, Busch was an Evangelical Reformed pastor in the rural parish of Uerkheim near Zofingen in the canton of Aargau, in the Swiss plateau. From 1973 to 1981 he was also a radio preacher at the Swiss radio station DRS . From 1982 to 1983 he was able to represent Professor Klaus Scholder at the Evangelical Theological Faculty of the University of Tübingen . From 1986 he was professor for systematic theology at the reformed faculty of the Georg-August-Universität Göttingen .
