action

The central plot element of the series is the legend of the white woman and the search for who caused the accident.

season 1

The separated family man Andreas makes his living as a Youtuber and produces clips about ghost stories for his channel “ParaSight”. In real life, he believes less in supernatural appearances. His new project takes him deep into the Ebersberger Forest. According to legend, a “white woman” is haunted here at the height of the Hubertus Chapel. Together with his friend and temporary cameraman Max, he tries to capture a paranormal phenomenon on video. In the beginning, it works as usual, until suddenly the alarm system in Andi's car goes on. Irritated, they leave the creepy place. Unsuspecting that they were never alone ...

season 2

Inspector Moser is assigned the strange case of a casualty, a murdered woman and a young, disturbed girl. The questioning of the child does not provide any information, as he constantly reports about a scary woman from the forest. As a rational investigator, Moser does not believe in spooks and ghosts. But the video camera of the injured Andi brings a gruesome turn.

background

Ebersberg was the first major project by director, producer and author Manuel Weiss . The entire production of the first season was created on a no-budget level with the aim of creating something exciting and, in Bavarian realms, something new. The first season quickly gained reach and fans through the series' Facebook and YouTube pages. The series is a dark ghost story with a wink. Despite the low budget, the look is based on American films such as Conjuring or Insidious . The film was shot in and around Munich. The main shooting for season 1 comprised 17 days of shooting for a total of 55 minutes of film, spread over 4 episodes. The script was rewritten over and over again over several years. The pre-production including u. a. The casting , location search and procurement of props took 4 months. The shooting and post-production always took place between the releases of the episodes. This resulted in a release interval of one month between the individual episodes. The success of Season 1 encouraged the team to stage a sequel to the story. In the summer of 2016, Manuel Weiss wrote the approx. 100-page script for another 4 episodes for 3 months. This time the playing time of all episodes was estimated to be around 80 minutes (later 99 minutes). With the FilmFernsehFonds Bayern and the Kreissparkasse München Starnberg Ebersberg two financing partners were found, which meant that more locations, actors, effects and playing time became possible for the second season. Among other things, the actors Markus Langer and Winfried Frey took part in the second season . After 22 days of shooting with the main unit, the shooting was finished in August 2017 and on October 7, 2017 all 4 episodes in feature length celebrated their premiere in the cinema of the University of Television and Film Munich .
