Ebnisee is a conservation area in the Rems-Murr in Baden-Württemberg .

Location and description

The approximately 666 hectare landscape protection area was created by ordinance of the then Waiblingen District Office of November 4, 1968. At the same time, the ordinance for the protection of the Ebnisee area in the municipalities of Kaisersbach and Welzheim of February 1, 1940 was repealed. It includes the Upper Wieslauftal with side valleys and the recreation area around the Ebnisee. It belongs to the natural areas 107- Schurwald and Welzheimer Wald and 108- Swabian-Franconian forest mountains within the natural spatial main unit 10- Swabian Keuper-Lias-Land . The landscape protection area lies entirely in the Swabian-Franconian Forest Nature Park .

Protection purpose

The main protection purpose is the preservation of the diversity, uniqueness and beauty of nature and landscape in this area and their special recreational value for the general public and the preservation of the usability of the natural assets in this area.
