Eckhard Weigel

Eckhard Weigel (born June 4, 1942 in Chemnitz ) is a German architect and politician ( CDU ) and former member of the Saxon state parliament .

Life

After primary school, Eckhard Weigel attended EOS in Chemnitz, where he passed his Abitur. This was followed by a degree in architecture at the Technical University of Dresden with a degree in engineering in 1968. In 1977 he received his doctorate in Dresden.

Between 1968 and 1971, Weigel design architect was in residential kombinat Karl-Marx-Stadt. From 1971 to 1982 he worked as an architect and urban planner in the city architect's office in Karl-Marx-Stadt. Subsequently, from 1982 to 1989, he was deputy city architect for residential construction. Between 1989 and 1990 Weigel worked as a city architect in Chemnitz. From 1990 he was the department head for urban development and building regulations in Chemnitz.

Weigel is a member of the Association of German Architects . He is Protestant, married and has one child.

politics

Eckhard Weigel has been a member of the CDU since 1968. From 1974 he was chairman of the CDU local group Niederwiesa . Between 1975 and 1989 he was a member of the Flöha district council .

In October 1990 Weigel was elected to the Saxon state parliament via constituency 51 ( Flöha ) with 58.8 percent of the vote. There he was a member of the committee for construction and transport as well as the investigative committee for the workability of the Saxon state parliament. Weigel resigned his mandate on February 17, 1992 before the Saxon state parliament members were checked for cooperation with the Stasi .
