Eckhart Lewering
Eckhart Lewering (born October 23, 1943 in Graal-Müritz ) is a German politician ( SPD ). He was a member of the German Bundestag from 1998 to 2005 ( 14th and 15th legislative periods) .
Life
Lewering attended the Polytechnic High School in Rostock from 1950 and then began an apprenticeship as a radio mechanic from 1962 . He completed this in 1965. In 1974 he became a project engineer in communications engineering and in 1975 began distance learning as an electrical engineer . In 1990 he became technical director in health care and in 1996 finally managing director of the state association of private hospitals in Saxony-Anhalt .
politics
Lewering joined the SPD in 1993. Just one year later he was elected chairman of the Bad Kösen local association , and in the same year also deputy chairman of the Zeitz / Naumburg / Nebra district association . Also in 1994 he became a member and also deputy chairman of the SPD parliamentary group in the city council of Bad Kösen and also a member of the Burgenlandkreis district council . In the 1998 Bundestag election he was able to win the direct mandate in the Zeitz - Hohenmölsen - Naumburg - Nebra constituency with 38.6% , and in the 2002 election he was confirmed in the Burgenland constituency with 35.5%. After the change of government in 2005 Lewering left the German Bundestag.
