Life

Ed Wasser was born in Roslyn, New York on Long Island and attended high school there . A keen athlete, he was hugely successful in high school baseball during his school years, although he was also very fond of acting classes. Wasser would have opted for a sports career if he hadn't sustained an injury in his right shoulder.

After graduating from high school, he auditioned at several drama conservatories until he was finally accepted into the State University of New York's Purchase College . There he completed his studies with a Bachelor of Fine Arts . He then continued to take acting classes at the Michael Howard Studios Manhattan Drama School and worked at various theaters in the New York area.

After completing his acting studies, Ed Wasser first founded his own promotion agency called Ad Skates, Inc. , which produced, among other things, B2B marketing videos and sales training videos for agents. However, in favor of his acting ambitions, he decided to sell the company and move to Hollywood . After a difficult period of financial trouble, he was finally invited to audition for the pilot of the television series Babylon 5. He was initially given a small, insignificant supporting role. However, when the series went on air regularly, producer J. Michael Straczynski decided to offer him the role of the diabolical Mr. Morden, which ultimately became his big break.
