Life

Albertini graduated from the Accademia d'Arte Drammatica in Rome and made her debut in 1945 on the stage for which she worked almost exclusively throughout her life. She showed her dramatic talent in the post-war years in plays by Garcia Lorca, Chekhov, Sophocles and Shakespeare; she was a memorable Julia under the direction of Renato Simoni in the 1948 production at the “Estate Teatrale Verona”. Then she engaged the Piccolo Teatro di Milano , where she a. a. 1950 directed by Giorgio Strehler in Richard III. and Little Eyolf , then she went to the Teatro Nazionale di Roma , which at that time was under the direction of Franco Enriquez .

In the 1954/1955 season she took part in several important productions by Remigio Paone , such as Rossana in Cyrano de Bergerac and the honorable Maria Pietramellera in Il cardinale Lambertini . 1958/59 she played in the troupe around Giorgio Albertazzi and Anna Proclemer ; In 1961 she was one of the outstanding interpreters in Gianfranco De Bosio's production of Antonello capobrigante . She played her last role in Carlo Goldoni's Il Campiello , with whom she also toured China.

She rarely dared to step onto television; A few exceptions in the 1950s and a few more in the 1960s - Silverio Blasis Caravaggio from 1967 should be mentioned - confirm the rule, as did a total of six film roles between 1946 and 1969.
