Eddie Dee

Eddie Dee ; Real name Eddie Alexánder Avila Órtiz (born April 26, 1977 in Río Piedras , Puerto Rico ) is a Puerto Rican singer, songwriter and producer of the reggaeton genre .

Career

In the spring of 2004 his album Los 12 Discípulos (literally: The 12 students; meaning: The 12 disciples, alluding to Jesus and his 12 disciples), which, alongside the album DJ Nelson presenta Luny Tunes y Noriega - Más Flow as one of the groundbreaking compilations, which made Puerto Rican reggaetón mass-compatible and internationally successful.

The names of the "12 Jünger", the musicians involved on the album, reads like a "who's who" of the reggaeton genre : Daddy Yankee , Ivy Queen , Tego Calderón , Julio Voltio , Vico C , Glory , Zion y Lennox , Luny Tunes , Nicky Jam .

In autumn 2005 a special edition CD / DVD of the album was released with four new titles and five music videos.

Eddie Dee co-wrote Daddy Yankee's single Gasolina , which was released in 2005.
