Eddie Hubble
John Edgar "Eddie" Hubble (born April 6, 1928 in Santa Barbara , California ) is an American jazz trombonist .
Hubble learned the trombone from his father, trombonist and Los Angeles studio musician, Harriss Hubble. In high school he had a band with his school friend, Bob Wilber . In 1944 he moved to New York City , where he played with Buddy Rich , Doc Evans , Alvino Rey and Eddie Condon, as well as with his own bands from the late 1940s. In 1952 he took under his own name for Savoy Records on (Jazz at Storyville) . In 1953 he played Dixieland with The Six , in the 1960s with Muggsy Spanier , with his own bands in Ohio and Connecticut and in the 1970s with The World's Greatest Jazz Band by Bob Haggart and Yank Lawson .
Tom Lord recorded 47 recording sessions from 1946 to 1987 (as Ed Hubble , besides trombone also baritone horn and alto horn).
