Eddy Edigin junior (born October 17, 1995 ) is a German basketball player of Nigerian descent. He last played for Bayer Leverkusen .

career

Edigin was born in Lagos, Nigeria, in 2004 he came to Germany and grew up in Regensburg . He started his basketball career at the age of 16, his first club station was the Regensburg Baskets, at the age of 17 he switched to FC Bayern Munich . In addition to his appearances in the FCB youth team, Edigin also played in the second Munich men's team, with which he won the championship title in the first regional league (southeast relay) in 2016.

With regard to the 2016/17 game year, he went from Munich to the Giants Nördlingen in the 2nd Bundesliga ProB , in summer 2017 he climbed another league when he was signed by 1.FC Baunach and thus made the jump to the 2nd Bundesliga . Bundesliga ProA as well as in the extended squad of Baunach's cooperation partner, Bundesliga club Brose Bamberg . In October 2017 he made his debut in the basketball Bundesliga for Bamberg in the game against Ludwigsburg . In September 2018 he tore a cruciate ligament and was therefore unable to participate in the 2018/19 season. In July 2019 he was signed by Bayer Leverkusen , who were promoted to the second division . On July 20, 2020, the Rhinelander announced that they would not extend the expiring contract with Edigin. The board player averaged 6.9 points in 27 games in ProA 2019/20 and picked up 5.1 rebounds per game.

National team

Edigin, who has been a German citizen since 2010, was part of the U20 national team in 2015.
