From 1995 Perrin took part in the single-seater in Junior World and European Championships . While he only achieved placements in midfield at the Junior European Championships, he reached third place behind Reinhard Gruber and Daniele Pieiller at the first Junior World Championships in 1997 in Aosta . In the World Cup , too , Perrin initially started in the single-seater - without any major success - before switching to the doubles-seater in the 1999/2000 season. During the following three years he formed a two-seater pair with Emanuele Giannelli , who had previously competed in the two-seater World Cup with Vanja Demé for a year . Perrin / Giannelli achieved two podium positions in their three World Cup years together (a third place each at the end of the 1999/2000 season in Fénis and at the beginning of the 2000/2001 season in Umhausen ) and finished all other races in which they participated, apart from one retirement , in fourth or sixth position. In the overall World Cup they finished sixth in 1999/2000 as well as in 2001/2002 and seventh in 2000/2001.
Perrin / Giannelli also took part in world championships together twice. At the 2000 World Cup in Olang they finished eighth among eleven pairs of two-seater ranked, and fifth at the 2001 World Cup in Stein an der Enns in an unusually small field of just six doubles. After the 2001/2002 season, both Eddy Perrin and Emanuele Giannelli ended their careers.
