The Day the Earth Stood Still 2 - Attack of the Robots is an American science fiction film by and with C. Thomas Howell based on the story Farewell to the Lord from Harry Bates and an invasion of planet Earth by aliens Robot acts.
The film was released on June 22, 2011 as a sequel to Scott Derrickson's The Day on which the Earth Stood Still on the German market, although it is actually a so-called mockbuster . Due to the similarity to the blockbuster, 20th Century Fox threatened legal action against the production company The Asylum in 2008 . There were no legal consequences.

After the extraterrestrial ambassador Klaatu could be convinced by humanity to leave the planet earth to them, it leaves the solar system in peace.
