Edeltraud Lentsch

Edeltraud Lentsch (born March 9, 1947 in Deutschkreutz , Burgenland ) is an Austrian politician and former member of the Austrian People's Party (ÖVP) in the National Council .

Life

After attending school in Deutschkreutz and at the Theresianum Eisenstadt , she worked at the Eisenstadt tax office from 1964 to 1968 and part-time in cultural policy . From 1991 to 1993 she was managing director of the “Club Burgenland” and she was the president of the cultural association “Pro Burgenland”.

In 1991 Lentsch was elected Burgenland regional leader of the Austrian Women's Movement (ÖFB), a sub-organization of the ÖVP, and in 1998 deputy ÖFB federal director under the chairmanship of Maria Rauch-Kallat .

From 1994 to 1996, during the term of office of the Federal Government Vranitzky IV , and from 2000 to 2008, during the Federal Governments Schüssel I , Schüssel II and Gusenbauer , she was a member of the Austrian National Council.

In April 2013 she was appointed head of the Burgenland region of the ÖVP-affiliated association “Disaster Aid Austrian Women” (KÖF).
