Edith Lowka
Edith Lowka (born August 13, 1916 in Berlin ; † October 7, 1989 in Walsrode ), née Hähn , was a German politician ( SPD ).
Edith Lowka did an apprenticeship as a chemist , later she also worked as a pharmacist's assistant. Since 1931 she was a member of the Socialist Workers' Youth (SAJ). After the Second World War , she joined the SPD. In 1950 she was first elected to the district assembly of the Tiergarten district. In the 1954 election she was then elected to the Berlin House of Representatives. Lowka was chairman of the main committee in the Chamber of Deputies for ten years . In 1975 she left parliament.
