Edmond Baraffe (born October 19, 1942 in Annœullin , † April 19, 2020 ) was a French football player .
Career
society
Baraffe played for US Boulogne from 1961 to 1962 . In the 1962/63 season he went to Red Star Paris , then moved to Division 1 at Toulouse FC , where he became a national player in the following three years. In 1967 Toulouse sold his first division license to Red Star, so he returned to Paris. Due to a knee injury, he had to take a long break and was without a club for three years until he was able to continue his career at Lille OSC in 1971 , where he ended his playing career in 1973.
Coaching career
His first coaching position was from 1974 to 1976 Le Havre AC . With interruptions he coached the lower-class clubs Association Football Club de Compiègne and Le Touquet Athletic Club as a result . In 1989 he returned for one season as a coach to his first professional station US Boulogne.
He then lived in the south of France for many years.
National team
Baraffe was in the squad for the French national team at the 1966 World Cup in England , but was not used during the tournament. Overall, he played three internationals for the Équipe Tricolore between 1964 and 1966 , in which he remained without a goal.
