Edmond Richard

Edmond Richard (born January 6, 1927 in Paris ; † June 5, 2018 there ) was a French cameraman .

Life

Edmond Richard graduated with a degree in aviation engineering and found the film business through the construction and development of cameras. Initially working as a camera assistant, he was responsible for his first film in 1961 as chief cameraman. Richard was valued primarily for his ability to illuminate film sets and create effective camera positions. Richard has worked twice for Orson Welles and in three films for Luis Buñuel . The Legion of the Damned, based on the novel by Victor Hugo, has a special place in his artistic work .
