Edmund Hooper

Edmund Hooper (born around 1553 in North Halberton near Tiverton ; died July 14, 1621 in London ) was an English organist and composer . He was appointed Master of the Choristers in Westminster Abbey in 1588 , from 1604 he was a member of the Chapel Royal , since 1615 joint organist of the Chapel Royal, together with Orlando Gibbons . Some of his works are preserved in the Fitzwilliam Virginal Book ( Alman , Corranto ). His Well-spring of bounty, God of fear is included in the Early English Church Music series , the Allemande ( Alman ) in A major in the English, Dutch and Spanish Masters of the 16th-18th centuries. Century by Old Masters of Piano Music ( Edition Peters ).
