Edmund Rottler (born June 25, 1966 ) is a former German soccer goalkeeper . He played a game in the 2nd Bundesliga for Energie Cottbus .

Career

Rottler played in his youth at SV Obereschach and BSV Schwenningen . In 1991 he moved to KFC Uerdingen 05 , where he stayed until 1994. He was then signed by SSV Reutlingen 05 . In 1996 he played with SK Vorwärts Steyr in the Austrian Bundesliga . There he played eleven games and received 22 goals. After relegation Rottler moved to FC Energie Cottbus in 1996 and stayed there until his career ended in 1999. In the 1996/97 season he made his first appearance in the Regionalliga Nordost. After promotion to the 2nd Bundesliga, Rottler completed his first second division appearance on August 9, 1998, when he was substituted on in the game against Tennis Borussia Berlin in the 71st minute after an injury by Tomislav Piplica .
