Edmundo de Macedo Soares e Silva
Edmundo de Macedo Soares e Silva (born June 9, 1901 in Rio de Janeiro , † August 19, 1989 ibid) was a Brazilian brigadier general and politician.
Life
Macedo Soares was the son of a doctor. He was Minister for Transport and Public Works in 1946 and Governor of the State of Rio de Janeiro from 1947 to 1951 . During the tenure of Costa e Silva , he served a second time as Minister for Industry and Trade from 1967 to 1969.
