Eduard Emde

Eduard Friedrich Konrad Emde (born June 18, 1841 in Mühlhausen ; † February 10, 1929 there ) was a German farmer and politician ( BdL ).

Emde was the son of the farmer and judge Johannes Friedrich Emde and his wife Marie Christiane nee Meister. He married Friederike Müller from Udorf on October 10, 1871 in Osage (Iowa) . Emde trained as a farmer and worked as an administrator on various large estates. In 1867 he emigrated to Iowa and worked there in a milling business. In 1876 he returned to Germany and took over his parents' farm. He was a member of the Chamber of Agriculture for Waldeck and was appointed to the economic council. From 1878 to 1888 he was mayor of Mühlhausen. From 1879 to 1908 he belonged (like his father earlier) to the state parliament of the Principality of Waldeck-Pyrmont . He was elected in the constituency of Eisenberg.
