Eduard Enzmann
Eduard Enzmann (born August 1, 1882 in Faberhütten , † May 18, 1965 in Gießen ) was a German landscape painter . He also signed Ed. Enzmann.
Life
Enzmann was born in the then Wernsdorf district of Faberhütten near Kaaden . Werndorf (Vernéřov) was later incorporated into Klášterec nad Ohří (Klösterle an der Eger). He did his apprenticeship in Reichenberg . During his work as a trained porcelain painter , he received artistic support from the sculptor Adolf Schnabel (1874–1950). By means of a scholarship, he took up studies at the Academy of Fine Arts in Prague in 1908 .
Many of his landscapes, drawings and graphics have been used in books and magazines. In 1916, for example, Eduard Gnendinger in Dessendorf published the book Der Dammbruch der Talsperre an der Weißen Desse on September 18, 1916 , during the war , in which several of Enzmann's nature studies are shown. Enzmann also designed the cover of the book In der Sahara / Gustav Nachtigal published by Adolf Wildner in 1922 . Even Karl Richard Fischer used for his 1924 book erstveröffentlichtes Doctor Kittel . Legends and other folk goods of the Jizera Mountains Drawings by Enzmann. Enzmann also worked in the field of lithography . His pictures are still shown today. 1924–1927 he designed the interiors of the building of the former district government in Gablonz (Podhorská 59), u. a. with the so-called Iser triptych (monument protection ÚSKP no. 43866 / 5-5145).
