Eduard Schleinkofer

Eduard Schleinkofer (born June 23, 1926 in Pirkensee , Maxhütte-Haidhof municipality ; † May 8, 2013 ) was a German businessman and trade unionist .

After attending elementary school, Schleinkofer completed his training as a businessman, which he completed in 1943 with the examination for a commercial assistant. After two years of military service, he worked in the profession he had learned. In 1947 he joined what was then the Bavarian Trade Union Federation , for which he worked full-time as a treasurer and legal department manager. In 1950 he became the authorized representative and managing director of IG Metall at the Regensburg administrative office , and in 1955 he became district secretary in the Munich district management of IG Metall. From 1975 to 1988 he was district manager of IG Metall for the Munich district. Schleinkofer was also an honorary judge at the Federal Labor Court and from 1980 to 1991 a member of the Bavarian Senate .
