Eduard Wilhelm Eberts

Eduard Wilhelm Eberts (born May 6, 1808 in Kreuznach ; † February 5, 1864 there ) was a German lawyer and politician .

Life

Born as the son of a pastor and consistorial president, Eberts studied law in Bonn after attending grammar school in Kreuznach . During his studies he became a member of the Germania Bonn fraternity in 1827 . After his studies he became an auscultator in Berlin and later in Kreuznach. In 1834 he came for alleged treason in custody and was in 1836 because of his membership in the fraternity to six months imprisonment sentenced, he in the Ehrenbreitstein fortress and in the fortress of Wesel was serving. From 1842 to 1846 he was a member of the city ​​council in Kreuznach. He worked as a lawyer and city councilor. In 1848 he became an adjutant of the vigilante group , was a delegate to the Cologne City Council and represented Kreuznach in the Frankfurt pre-parliament . He was also the first elector for the election to the Frankfurt National Assembly and the First Prussian Chamber , in 1850 for the Volkskammer elections. In 1850 he became second alderman of Kreuznach, then from 1852 to 1864 first alderman. In 1855 he was elector for the election to the House of Representatives. He belonged as a member of the county council of the Rhine Province and in 1860 again Kreuznach city councilor.
