Eduard Wolf

Eduard Wolf (born November 27, 1885 in Bielefeld , † November 24, 1961 in Gütersloh ) was a German entrepreneur.

Life

Wolf was the commercial director of Gustav Wolf Seil- und Drahtwerke GmbH & Co. in Gütersloh. Under his leadership, the company became one of the most important wire rope manufacturers in Europe. He was the chairman of various business associations, such as from 1928 chairman of the European Wire Rope Convention. From 1945 he was a member of the board of the newly founded wire rope association. In addition, he was involved in several associations at the local level, for example as a board member of the “ Parkbad Gütersloh ” association.

In 1953 he was awarded the Great Cross of Merit of the Federal Republic of Germany. To promote the reputation of the city, he was made an honorary citizen of Gütersloh in 1960 .
